Tom Wood: Good evening, Mam. May I have the honor of introducing myself? My name is Tom Wood, the Sales Manager of Mac & Jack Co.

Carol Fox: Oh, hello, Mr.Wood. It's my great pleasure to know you. I'm Carol Fox, the Marketing Manager of Bluejean Ltd.

Tom Wood: Glad to know you, Miss Fox. I'm so lucky to meet you today. I've been wishing to meet you for a long time, Miss Fox.

Carol Fox: Really? I'm also hoping to know you, too.

Tom Wood: Well, why don't we exchange business cards so that we can keep in touch with each other? Here's my card.

Carol Fox: Right. Thank you. And here's mine. I wish our company may have business contact with yours some day.

Tom Wood: Great minds think alike. Our CEO has been wishing to contact with your company, too.

Carol Fox: Then we can arrange a meeting for our companies later.

Tom Wood: That's great. I'll talk with our General Manager as soon as possible and then phone you next Monday.

Carol Fox: And I'll report our meeting to our CEO right after the party.

Amy Liu: Good evening. It's a great gathering, isn't it?

Jim Smith: Yes, it is. So many people have come. And it is said that quite a few big people will show up in this gathering!

Amy Liu: Really? That's great! And may I introduce myself to you? I'm Amy Liu, the Marketing Manager of Bluesky Ltd.

Jim Smith: Glad to know you,Miss Liu. My name is Jim Smith, from Jones Garment Company. I work as a graphic designer in the company.

Amy Liu: It's very nice to know you, Mr.Smith. You're a graphic designer. That's technical work. You must be very good at drawing. Well, shall we go there and meet other guests?

Jim Smith: It's a great idea! Let's go.

(The two go to join another group of guests in the gathering.)

Amy Liu & Jim Smith: Hello, everyone. May we join you and introduce ourselves?

All Guests: Sure.

Amy Liu: My name is Amy Liu, the Marketing Manager of Bluesky Ltd. And this is Jim Smith, graphic designer from Jones Garment Company. These are my business cards. Maybe we shall have business contact some day later.

(Amy Liu begins to distribute her business cards to other guests.)

Sally Wang: Hello, nice to meet you. My name is Sally Wang, the secretary of the CEO of Kinston Ltd. These are my business cards.

Sam Thomas: Hi. I'm Sam Thomas, the General Manager of Sue's Dressing Co. These are my business cards. I hope we can have business contact with your company, too.

Suppose you are a college graduate. You go to the recruitment fair to find a suitable job for yourself. Now talk to the company interviewers to introduce yourself to them.

Good afternoon. It's my great pleasure to stand here for this interview.

First, let me introduce myself. My name is Sally Wang and you can call me by my English name Sally. I come from Guangzhou, the capital city of Guangdong Provincme by and will graduate from the Maritime Department of Guangdong Communication Polytechnic in July this year. During college period, I majored in shipping management and I achieved scholarships when I was a sophomore and junior. And in the meantime I became the chairman of the Pingpong club.

I am an optimistic and active girl. Moreover, I am a thoughtful student. Especially, I am pretty good at learning. It is energetic of me to think some meaningful issues. When I'm faced with problems, I am capable of analyzing and settling them by myself. If the matter is especially intricate, I also can corporate well with others as a team.

In my spare time, I have broad interests like many other young people. Sports and reading are my favorites. I am also a pure sports fan. In all of these, I do well in playing Pingpong; there are several medals I won as the captain of the school or the department team including individual games and team games. Taking part in some sports games can help me study energetically.

In this fast-changing age, I am also skilled in using computers and networks. Frequently I exchange views and opinions with others by making comments in the forums on line. In additional, I am familiar with searching for information on the Internet. I have passed CET-6 test. However, I am aware that there's still a lot of room in my English speaking which needs developing.

In the past few months, I have been preparing for job hunting. On the one hand during my courses, I've gained a lot of knowledge in this field. Now all my industrious work has been rewarded with this opportunity to present myself here. I will appreciate it very much if you would grant me the chance to join your company.
